Starting time: Athletes are requested to be at Les O’Brien Athletics Precinct at 8.30 am Saturday mornings for the compulsory warm up followed by a 9am start.
Athletes MUST be supervised at ALL times at Saturday competition and Wednesday night training. If it is not possible for you to be in attendance with your athlete, you are required to arrange for another adult to be responsible for your athlete and let your athletes team manager know. Please do not drop off your child without making prior arrangements for their care as this will result in your child being excluded from competition until an adult responsible for their care returns. Albury Little Athletics will not be responsible for athletes left at the ground after the completion of the program or during competition or training.
Wet Weather: Cancelled programs due to inclement weather will be notified via Team App, our website and our Facebook Page.
This decision will be made by the committee and they will be guided by Little Athletics Victorias Extreme Weather Policy. This decision is made with athlete and volunteer safety in consideration. See Little Athletics Victorias Policy here: Extreme Weather Policy
Parent Responsibility
As in all Little Athletics, it must be remembered that parent participation is essential. Please remember that when you, the parent, agree to your child taking part in Little Athletics, you are indicating that you as a parent will help act as an official. Many hands make light work and the more volunteers we have the quicker our programs get finished. You will be rostered on to help with our fundraising BBQ and set up or pack up throughout the season. With many families the number of times you will be rostered on will be very few. The other roles you may like to volunteer for each week are: age group co-ordinator, recorder, measuring or raking a long jump pit to name a few. Many of these jobs are very simple and our committee and long time parents are only to happy to help demonstrate and assist you in learning how to fulfil these roles. Not only will you help your club but your own child will enjoy seeing you involved.
